Ok I am almost finished with Aida's big girl bedroom but I am not quite sure if I should do something more with the walls. I was thinking about doing a stripe of black paint about halfway down and then putting white polka dots on the black??? Well the pink turned out a little brighter than I hoped, even though it matches her bedding perfect, so I am a little scared to do any more incase it looks bad...so I need some advice...PLEASE!! I am also planning to do a valance across the curtains...like a black and white damask pattern to tie in the little chandelire light and the pictures and toy basket. I am also doing some vinly lettering "Daughter of God" above the closet. We also have new doors and blinds that we are putting up. So I would Love any suggestions!!

Oh so cute! I'm just now buying stuff for Macy and Brady's big kid rooms. Who know when I'll get them done, but I figure I might as well start buying now so it doesn't seem like a small fortune later. I love the strip polka dot idea. Go for it! I just love that little kitchen too. So cute. I need that for Macy's room. Call me sometime! Love ya, Jana
So cute! I love pink! Yeah, we're back:) It feels like we have just been on a really long, lame vacation. We are definetly back for good. We need to get the kids together to play for sure!

I don't know why it posted twice on there, I swear I'm not retarted!! Just kidding, anyway we are probably going to go to kylie's b-day on sat, so we'll see you there if you go!!
Devon! Darling room. I have the same problem with my boys room, the green turned out really green. I think the pink looks really good. I would do something with polk-a-dots. Maybe because I love them and if I had a girl I would do dots and stripes. I would probably do a wide strip with dots in it. (Since you asked, right?)
Anyways, I got your post a while ago and kept meaning to call. We would like to get together sometime. We are going out of town for a wedding next week (29th-2nd), but maybe after that? Check out our blog to see my Parker-roni. He is going in for eye surgery next month.
Talk to you soon!

Hey Devon! What a cute room for cute Aida. I actually think once you put the damask valance up, you will have enough going on. It will pull everything together perfectly. Polka dots are awesome but it may be too much. You could always do the valance and then decide. Make sure to post updated pics so we can see!
Glad to see you're doing well.
Mon
The room is darling! Can you come decorate my house?
I haven't been on the computer all month. Happy Birthday Aida! Wow! I love her room. Very cute. You are doing a great job and don't need any suggestions. I can't believe she is in a big kids bed! I love the chandelier. I say go for the black stripe to break up the pink and maybe a thin white stripe too. Polka dots would be adorable, how would you do them? We miss ya here in good old Twin Falls!
Wow, it's cute. Except for the pink walls though (I'm doing dark khaki to bring out the khaki ribbon in the bedspread) it looks just like Brooklyn's room :) You guys did a good job. We're looking for a chandelier and I'm being way way picky but I like yours.
Thanks so much for all of the great tips Girls!! I will post some updated pictures once I am finished!!
Summer: I can't believe you have the same bedding for B...thats what I get for shopping at Target! I hate how everyone gets the same stuff. The day I bought it some lady saw it in the cart and asked where I found it...that almost made me put it back and I wasn't too sure I liked the Khaki in it...Khaki for a little girls room??? But the stripe is so small I hoped it wouldn't be noticed too much!
Devon, what a cute room indeed. I would definitly do the black stripe with polka dots. I need to come over and check out the rest of your cute home!!!
I've told you a billion times, but I will tell you again. The room is so cute, and I think you are crazy if you think otherwise.
Um...You page is really cute. I really need your help getting mine back together again. Summer has been dying to see my Tahiti pics posted. I know that I need to do it.
Cute job on Aida's room! Ohh, that makes me excited to do Adi's room when she gets older! Actually, I just added a bunch of vinyl flowers around the top of her room too, I love that fact that it is so easy to put up and I don't have to break out the paint cans. Oh, and in reply to your comment on my blog - Yes, BreAnne is pregnant, she is around 3 months I think, and due in Sept. Anyways, she is really sick. And Amanda had her baby on Sunday the 16th. one and a half weeks early. A cute baby girl, named her Chloe Anita and she was 7lbs 7oz. and 18 inches. long. She didn't do the midwife at home birth thing, (thankfully ;) because with a V-back she had to deliver in the hospital. Everything went well and they are both healthy though. Doing really good. Definitely let us know if you are headed this way for Conference! Yeah, it would be so fun to see you guys again, it feels like it's been forever already.
