Playing Catch-Up!

Well we packed our whole house up...put all of our possessions in a storage unit, said good bye to friends, family and Granite Bay, packed our stuff for the summer into the truck and headed to Idaho. We arrived in Idaho, stayed with our friends BreAnn and Stillman for the night and then Jesse and his friends...Mark, Chris and Stillman headed for Mesquite for some guy time and lots and lots of golf. Jana and I headed up to Boise to see Rachelle, Berkley and their new twins!

We took the kids to Rafiki this fun place with every toy and kid activity you could think of! The kids LOVED it!

Berkley and Aida posing for the camera...cute girls! We didn't get any pictures of us! We are so lame! After Rafiki we ordered pizza, put the kids to bed and played games and talked. The next day we went to the mall for a bit then headed back to Twin.

Aida and I went down to Burley to spend some time with my grandparents and my sister and her husband....this is what my granda Len did most of the time...

and this is what my Nana did too! They are crazy! They are seriously up ALL night, going pee or getting a drink or taking the dog out! and they're not quiet!! My nana is def so she always yells and my granda has a gimpy leg so you can hear him down the hall! Oh good times and fun memories of staying with my grandparents! I usually stay with my sister Micah's but my nana got excited about Aida and I staying there so I felt bad!

We hung out at my sister's a lot and Aida did lots of this...she loves her cousin Hayden! Jesse came back from his trip and we stayed for a few days...we took Aida to see How to train your dragon...it was so cute! I tried to take a pic of her wearing her 3D glasses but she got mad at me! We went back to Twin to hang out with some friends, Jesse bought a gun so of course we had to go shooting, then we went to Carino's for dinner with Joe and Jana and stopped by Mark and Jaylynn's to hang out for a bit. The next day we started our journey to Chicago! It took about 20 hours, we stopped half way to sleep. All in all not a bad trip...Aida was really good and the time passed fast but I was really glad when we were finally here!

We got here on Thursday and on Saturday we picked up Amber from the airport, she stayed behind to finish working. We can't believe how beautiful it is here. Everything is SO green! We went into downtown Chicago the first weekend we were here...here we are in front of the Willis tower...formally known as the Sears Tower which is the tallest building in the nation.

Our little family!

We had to hit up Al's Number 1 Beef! For those of you who watch Man vs Food you may remember this...here is Jesse taking the "STANCE" to eat his sandwich.

Mike didn't have time for the stance...he just ate his!

We were very surprised at how clean the city was...and hardly any bums!! That was really shocking I guess I am just used to big city's having lots of bums cause San Fran has tons!

Under the train tracks

Eating more...dunkin donuts

At Union Station...so nice!

Here are our apartments...look at how pretty and green it is! That's Aida running to Amber and Mike's apartment from the playground.

We went out with some of the other girls here to take the kids to the zoo and park. Aida is really into Alice in Wonderland right now so she loved all the flowers here and started singing the flower part from the movie! Cute girl!!

I love my monkey!

Aida and one of her new friends Ashlynn

The zoo was free...who ever heard of a free zoo? It wasn't super great but so fun to take the kids to and right behind the zoo was a huge park

I found this at Target...I have been wanting one of these for my jewelry forever! They are usually about $130 or so, as I'm walking down the isles at Target I see this in the box with a red clearance sticker on it...so I go look just to see how cheap it is knowing that we do not have enough room in the truck to get it back home when we leave...the price says....$16.24!!! I dragged it over to the price scanner thingy to check cause that cannot be the right price, it says no info found so I put it in my cart and take it with me to the check out...YEP it was $16.24! So of course I had to buy it! What a deal!!! If we don't have room for it in the back of the truck I'll just fly home and it can take my spot inside the truck!
On another note...Jesse is KICKING BUTT!! He is the number 1 first year sales rep!!! I am SO PROUD of him!! I knew he would do well! We love it out here, I am actually having lots of fun!
