4th of JULY!

We had a wonderful 4th of July! We went to church then headed to a BBQ with all the families here.

Dressed for the occasion...Jesse is a fan of hideously ridiculous shirts...I found this gem at Walmart for $5!! He is such a proud American...we have a front license plate that is a flag, a flag air freshener and we always have a flag hanging in front of our house...ok I like it! I am so proud to be an American...the first one in my family:)

The weather here BLOWS! One minute its beautiful and perfect then everything changes in a matter of seconds! It was so hot and humid this day I could barely stand it...our poor husbands that have to work in it! Anyway..with it being so hot somehow the idea to stick your hand in this make-shift cooler came around and before we knew it Josh...the manager, was betting 2 guys they couldn't keep their hands in the ice water for 10 minutes...the other guy sissy-ed out after 30 seconds so I of course took the opportunity to make him look like a little girl by showing him how things get done! (sweet pic of me with my eyes closed!)

I think my ending time was somewhere around 11 minutes or so..I don't know I got bored! Here I am showing off my easy money :)

You can tell its super hot and ridiculously humid...our hair is wet! GROSS! I made Aida and I these hair clips to be festive!

So easy! I loved how they turned out!

Emily made this AMAZING cake!!

After the BBQ the guys played on their new pit bikes...4 of the guys bought bikes while out here...I forgot to take some pictures. They are SO fun! Then we took a quick dip in the pool to try and cool off. We met up to let the kids do some sparklers.

Sienna, Aida and Noelle

Cute girl!

Apparently any type of fireworks are illegal here in Illinois so we had to go to a baseball field to light off the fireworks the guys bought in Indiana one day...we had our own firework show with all of them! The night ended with Jesse and some of the guys in a roman candle war...shooting them at each other...good times! Happy 4th of July!
